Companion poem for this image is still in progress. But the story goes something like this ...
Tonight, under the mantled moon the Nightflyers would attack, just as they had done for generation untold; stealing the souls from any who lay in their path.
But this time would be different, very different. This time she would be waiting; the first of her people to be born with the ability to spin the subtle moon-glow, to weave a spell without the aid of sunlight.
Tonight she would stand as the first and only defense they had ever known. If she could hold until dawn all would be safe. She was the first Moonweaver .
This is first image I did using one of Marcus Ranum photographs ... I have been inspired ever since. His photography is incredible.
